Tenkara is a simple and traditional form of fishing practiced in Japan. It requires only a rod - no reel - some line, and a fly. Bart Lombardo, will provide this overview of tenkara fishing and introduce you to the techniques and equipment necessary to enjoy this sport. Afterwards, at the water edge, use the provided rods and flies to try out your luck. Fishing will require a current NJ fishing license. Co-sponsored by Orvis.
